March 16, Governor Tim Walz signed Executive Order 20-04 which temporarily closed Minnesota bars, restaurants, and other places of public accommodation. This order was clarified March 18th to include salons, barbershops, and similar establishments. These closures were continued March 25th. We spoke recently to State Senator Mark Johnson and asked him if the idea of opening Minnesota business based on geographic location has been discussed with Governor Walz
Much of the stay at-home order and social distancing has been to give hospitals the time to become ready. We asked Senator Johnson what he’s found as far as hospital status.
Finally, we asked the Senator about opening Minnesota on a county by county basis.
Curbside sales for all retail customer facing business began Monday and some healthcare facilities will begin elective surgery this Monday the 11th.
