Here is the latest blotter report from the Law Enforcement Center in Thief RIver Falls.
Monday, (5-18-2020) a single-vehicle motor vehicle accident was reported at 4:35 in the afternoon. The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office responded to the intersection of Center Avenue North and Center Street-about 2 miles west of St Hilaire. A 2012 General Motors FedEx truck, driven by Quentin Kaml of Grand Forks, lost control of the vehicle, went into the north ditch and hit the crossing at Center Avenue. The accident was created by some sort of medical emergency although the injuries were unknown and both Kaml and his passenger refused medical attention.
May 16th at 4:11 in the morning, officers responded to a call then resulted in the arrest of Ricardo Martinez, age 29, of Thief River Falls. Martinez was charged with a 5th Degree controlled substance crime and a charge for Drugs where a child or vulnerable adult is present. On May 18th, Martinez was given a temporary furlough from the Pennington County Jail and did not return. Martinez has one more charge now for Escape from Custody and was booked back into jail the evening of the 18th at 8:33.
Finally, the evening of the 18th at 11:45, a deputy with the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle in the city of St Hilaire. The driver was found in possession of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana. Bradley Gerald Konickson, age 49 of St Hilaire, was charged with Driving after Cancellation-Inimical to Public Safety and 5th Degree Possession of a controlled substance. Konickson remains in the Pennington County Jail.
