Peter Erick Gudmundson was born August 13, 1972 in Hallock, MN the son of Magnus and Phyllis (Pearson) Gudmundson. He was baptized on September 10, 1972 and confirmed on May 24, 1987 at Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Bronson, MN. Pete attended school in Hallock, MN and graduated from Kittson Central High School in 1990.
The romance began in the winter of 2000 with the love of his life and future wife, Colleen Sauve. Their first real date was at an Ozzy Osbourne concert and the couple has been inseparable ever since. On June 11, 2016 Pete married his best friend, Daisy and on June 11, 2020 she lost her best friend Pete. Together they enjoyed riding motorcycle, fishing, snowmobiling, camping, demolition derbys, hunting, 4-wheeler rides, bonfires & tannerite.
Pete loved spending time with his family and friends; and he really blended with the Sauve family, Pete was like a brother from another mother.
He was a strong man with a strong personality and was lovingly known as “Soap Box” by friends and family. He had the natural ability to figure out his projects at work or around home and was not afraid of learning or trying new things. Pete appeared to be a tough guy but for those who knew him, he had a big heart and would do anything for his friends and family.
Pete has worked at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls as a Robot Maintenance Technician.
Pete was also a member of H.O.G., ABATE, Ducks Unlimited, NRA and Pheasants Forever.
