Crews continue to move forward on schedule with each of the projects in and around town. Detours will continue through the July 4th holiday weekend.
This week on the Hwy 32 Resurface between Thief River Falls and St. Hilaire should bring milling and paving within the city of St. Hilaire -weather permitting. This work will begin from the south end to County Road 3. The work will be completed under traffic with flaggers and lane closures. Highway 32 from CR 3 to Thief River Falls will remain closed. Detour will continue on Highway 32 as follows: Motorists will use CR 3, CR 20 and Highway 59. Traffic coming from south headed north, must take the detour. From the north, going to hospital can still get through, using flaggers on site. Only able to get to hospital, not further south. Residents will have access maintained.
Atlantic Avenue from 10th Street to 11th Street will be closed on Monday, June 29th and Tuesday June 30th to complete a necessary storm sewer replacement. Please allow extra time and find alternate routes. Also, Davidson Construction notified the city of Thief River Falls that their striping subcontractor will begin work on central business district pavement markings today (MOnday).
The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced Friday the completion of bridge construction on Highway 220 at Snake and Tamarac Rivers. The road was previously closed between Highway 317 and Marshall County Road 5.
Crews will continue to work on grading which will include shoulder closures. Motorists are reminded to obey traffic signs and use caution.
