Kyle Rokke, 40, of Crystal, MN formerly of Thief River Falls, MN passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at his residence with his loving parents Howard and JoAnne Rokke, fiancée Lauren Virta and her mother Karen Virta by his side.
A gathering time for family and friends will be from 4:00PM until 6:00PM with a 6:00PM Prayer Service on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN. The memorial service to celebrate Kyle’s life will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Evangelical Free Church, Thief River Falls, MN. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.
Kyle Justin Rokke was born February 7, 1980 in Thief River Falls, MN the son of Howard Michael and JoAnne Rachel (Riveness) Rokke. He attended Washington Elementary, Franklin Middle School and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1998.
While attending High School he was involved in drama, band, choir, and lead roles in several musicals. Kyle wrote poems, songs, and music. He also enjoyed recording his singing with his beautiful voice and guitar playing. After high school he attended Northland College in Thief River Falls and Concordia College in Moorhead.
He was employed in the Minneapolis area in the travel industry and later worked many years as a debt recovery specialist.
Kyle was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and it brought him much joy when they won the Super Bowl this year.
Kyle is survived by his parents, brother Kris and his wife Cherie, niece Anika and fiancée Lauren Virta, aunts and uncles Harriet Roberts of Coon Rapids, Bethany Riveness of Minneapolis, Paul and Myrle Riveness of Blaine, Clara Ost of McAllen, Texas, Jennie Standfield and David of Punta Gorda, Florida, Sharon and Jerry Speilberg of Cape Coral, Florida, Phil Riveness of Minneapolis and many cousins. Also survived by his loving dog Costello, and his cat KC.
Kyle is preceded in death by his grandparents Milford and Irene Rokke, Pastor J.A., Ruth Riveness, Uncle David Riveness, Uncle John Ost, and cousins Sam Ost and Aaron Riveness.
