State Fair Virtual Vendors and Competition

While the Great Minnesota Get-Together isn’t happening this year, the Minnesota State Fair has announced some traditions will carry on virtually during the pandemic.

Visitors can shop from 240 state fair vendors through a searchable database, and four competitions will go on virtually, including the ever-popular crop art competition, along with cookie decorating, K-12 artwork and photography, and quilt on a stick.

The online marketplace will stay open through Dec. 31 to give fair-goers a much wider window of opportunity to pick up their fair favorites.

“There will be the hard-to-find gifts and gadgets, handmade and made-in-Minnesota goods, foodie fun, up-cycled décor, helpful home services, hobby gear, treats for furry friends, apparel, and more,” reads a press release. You betcha!

Additionally, the Fine Arts Exhibition of Minnesota will have an online jury, and visitors can view gallery showings in-person from Aug. 27-Sept. 7 with a $10 ticket. There will also be a free, video-recorded tour of the exhibition and online catalog.

You can find out how to enter the virtual showcases here.
