Devon James Pulczinski was sentenced Friday, Oct. 16 for the murder of Alexandra Jo Ellingson and a charge of arson directly related to the murder.
Pulczinski, age 24 of Thief River Falls, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of release on the charge of first degree mirder which will be served concurrently with a 68-month prison sentence for felony first degree arson. There was no pronounced sentence for the felony charge of second degree murder.
Pulczinski was given credit for 568 days time-served at the Pennington County Jail and must provide a DNA sample. Judge Tamara Yon ordered Pulczinski to not use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives plus he must pay $185 in fees and fines. Restitution is requested for $10,551.40, although the right to restitution remains open for 30 days.
Alexandra Jo Ellingson, age 23 of Thief River Falls, was found deceased March 27, 2019, at 307-1/2 Arnold Ave. S. She was found in the kitchen of Pulczinski’s upper level apartment after Thief River Falls firefighters extinguished a fire
A Pennington County jury found Pulczinski guilty of the chargesof 1st and 2nd degree murder and felony arson on Thursday, Sept. 24.
