Public Affairs officer Laura Kirchner from Enbridge Energy appeared via Zoom at Tuesday’s Pennington County Board meeting. Kirchner began her presentation by thanking Pennington County for the support they have shown the energy company.
Kirchner went on to reassure the area that Enbridge has a robust system for testing and mitigating the spread of Covid-19. Some of these efforts include no early-morning mass meetings and a pod based model that keeps works in the same group. The group has moved to “tailgate meetings” based on those small groups.
All newly-arrived Enbridge employees receive a Covid-19 test the first day they arrive, then again at 7 days. All employees get tested every two weeks and Enbridge has the resources to maintain their own mobile medical units and they perform their own contact tracing in the event of a positive test.
